Boss, Elaine L. (Schulz) (April 3, 1929 - October 17, 2010)


Elaine L. Boss, 81, Spencer, entered eternal life Sunday, Oct 17, 2010, surrounded by her family.


Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct 23, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. Rev David DePaoli will preside. A time of visitation will be held from 4-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Spencer, and again one hour prior to service time at the church on Saturday.


Elaine was born April 3, 1929 in Colby, a daughter of Ernst and Elsie (Feind) Schulz. She graduated from Colby High School. On November 29, 1947 in Colby, the former Elaine Schulz was united in marriage to Vernon Boss.


Mrs. Boss cherished the time she could spend with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. Other interests included fishing, reading, sewing, knitting, embroidery and card playing.


She is lovingly survived by her children, Denny (Shelly) Boss of Milwaukee, Dan (Lorena) Boss of Colby, Jim (Joline) Boss of Eau Claire, John (Karen) Boss of Owen, and Kathie Boss of Milwaukee. She is further survived by 5 grandchildren, Ondra, Jana, Jeff, Ryan, and Mike; 2 great grandchildren, Drew and Madeline; siblings, Minerva, Calvin, Lucille, and Kenneth; as well as many other family and friends. She will truly be missed.


Her parents, Ernst and Elsie; husband, Vernon; and siblings, Julius "Bud", Donald "Doc", and Grace; all preceded Elaine in death.
