Hoffmann, Sadie R. (Bargenquast) (June 17, 1923 - October 11, 2010)
Sadie R. Hoffmann, 87, Colby, passed away with her loved ones at her side Monday, October 11, 2010 at Golden Living Center, Abbotsford.
Sadie was born June 17, 1923 in Milan, to Hugo and Ida (Haensgen)
Bargenquast.
Sadie was joined in marriage to Edmund Hoffmann on January 21, 1941 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Milan. Sadie lived as a housewife and farmer on her and Edmunds farm until their retirement in 1976. Sadie enjoyed planting flowers, baking, playing softball and bingo, and tending to her garden.
She is survived by her children, Shirley (James) Faucher of Waldo,
Ida (Robert) Jeske of Weyauwega, James Hoffmann of Owen, and
Caroline (Thomas) Williams of Muskego. She is further survived by
thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and her
sister-in-law Evelyn Bargenquast.
Sadie is preceded in death by her husband, Edmund; brothers, Ralph
and Elmer Bargenquast; sister-in-law, Bernice Bargenquast; and
three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 14, at St.
Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford at 2 p.m. with a
visitation at the church from 12 p.m. until the time of the
service.
Internment will follow at Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Father S. Nathan will preside.
