Strunk, Beatrice C. "Pete" (Dahlke) (November 23, 1925 - October 14, 2010)
Beatrice C. "Pete" Strunk, 84, Abbotsford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Golden Living Center-Continental Manor in Abbotsford.
Beatrice was born November 23, 1925 in
the Town of Frankfort to Victor and Veronica (Wirkus) Dahlke. She
attended Marathon County Normal School and received her teaching
degree from UW Stevens Point. Beatrice started teaching at 17 years
of age and was a teacher for 49 years.
Her marriage to Arnold E. Strunk took place on October 18, 1947 at
Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgar,
Wisconsin.
Pete taught CCD at Saint Bernard’s Parish for many years. She
enjoyed animals, traveling, birds, gardening and flowers. And she
loved "Suzy" her shitzu dog.
Beatrice is survived by her husband, Arnold Strunk of Abbotsford;
her sisters, Myrtle Pflanzer of Abbotsford, and Gertrude (Ervin)
Karlen of Edgar; brother, Alexander (Dorothy) Dahlke of Edgar;
sister-in-law, Margaret Oehler of Mosinee; and brother-in-laws,
Harold Strunk of Kenosha, and William Strunk of Colby; and many
nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers,
Norbert Dahlke, Ralph Dahlke and Victor Dahlke III;
brother-in-laws, Alfred and Walter Strunk; and sisters-in-law, Ann
Miller, Adeline Dahlke and Irene Dahlke.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16 at Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford with Father S. Nathan presiding. Burial will follow in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery.
