Adams, Aleada (10 May 1884 - 3 October 1959)
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Zion American Lutheran Church in Pine Valley for Mrs. William (Aleada) Adams, 75, who died Saturday in Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Marvin A. Beninga officiated and burial was made in the North Pine Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. Adams, the former Aleada Wegner, was the daughter of the late August and Louise (Hemp) Wegner. She was born May 10, 1884, in Pine Valley, where she lived with the exception of 11 years.
On December 22, 1906, she was married to William Adams, and following their marriage they farmed in Illinois. They returned to Clark County and farmed until 12 years ago, when they retired. Mr. Adams died in 1955.
She is survived by a son, Elmer, on the home farm; a daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Viola) Sharratt, Rt. 3, Neillsville; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Elsie) Stelloh, Neillsville, and Mrs. Dan (Olgiene) Gluch, Neillsville. A brother, Arthur Wegner of the Town of Seif, also survives, as do seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The Georgas Funeral Home made funeral arrangements.
Pallbearers were: Victor Schlinkert, Albert Meihak, Art Dux, Earl Marden, Herbert Henning, and Tony Karnitz.
"Asleep in Jesus" and "I Am But a Stranger Here" were sung by Mrs. Kenneth Karnitz.

Beninga, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. G. Herman Gluch and Mrs. Archie Howard, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schecklman, Mrs. Martha Gilbride, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dux, Loyal; and Mrs. Rose Goldhamer, Milwaukee.
