Williams, Jean Carol (Marriage - 17 October 1959)

Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday in the Neillsville Methodist Church by Miss Jean Carol Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams of Granton, and Nathan Earl Vandeberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Vandeberg of Marshfield.  The Rev. Virgil Holmes performed the double ring ceremony before an altar banked with baskets of white chrysanthemums and pale pink gladioli.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an all-white dress of satin with net overtop.  The fitted lace bodice was fashioned with long tapering sleeves.  A crown head piece held the shoulder length veil. She carried a bouquet of pink tea roses and white stephanotis entwined with green.

Miss Nellie Van Gorden of Neillsville was her maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Sharon Vandeberg, sister of the groom, and Miss Alberta Zank, cousin of the bride. The attendants were attired in evergreen dresses, complete with green crowns and veils, with gloves and shoes. They carried bouquets of pink, yellow and white carnations.

Miniature bride was Miss Marie Vandeberg, sister of the groom.  Ringbearer was Marvin Williams, brother of the bride.

Bestman was Lavine Lanoue of Marshfield and Groomsmen were Jerry Holubets, Marshfield, and Rodger Williams, Granton.  Merlin Jacobson and Walter Hudek ushered.

A reception was held in the church dining hall and a dance was given in the evening in the Legion Hall.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School with the class of 1959, and has been employed in Marshfield.  The groom, a 1958 graduate of Marshfield High School, is employed in Wisconsin Rapids.  On their return from a Canadian wedding trip they will reside at 450 Wyatt Ave., Wisconsin Rapids.

Out of town guests attending were from Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Kewaskum, West Bend, Germantown, Monticello, Wisconsin Rapids, Madison, Prescott, and from Portland, Ore., Missoula, Mont., Chicago, Ill., Prosper, Minn., and Manistee, Mich.
