Larson, Kathleen (3 OCT 1956)
The Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, Iowa, was the setting for the two o’clock wedding of Miss Kathleen Larson and Emil R. Christie on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 1956. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Glenn L. Utterback. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lief Larson, Thorp, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Christie, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
A street length gown of light gray silk chiffon, fashioned with a bouffant skirt, high neckline, and push up sleeves, was worn by the bride, with a matching gray velvet headband and veil. A single strand of pearls, short white gloves and a small colonial bouquet of white pompoms complemented her gown.
Miss Margaret Deike, Minneapolis, Minn., was maid of honor, wearing a peacock blue velveteen dress with matching headband. Mrs. Harold Belsheim, Minneapolis, Minn., was best man.
A reception immediately following the ceremony was held at the Club Iowa in Charles City with approximately twenty guests attending. They included the parents of the bride and groom and several relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Christie will honeymoon in New Orleans, and upon their return will reside at 121 Grandview Court Apartments, Iowa City, Iowa.
