At Our Lady of Mount Caramel Church in Milwaukee, Wis., the wedding of Miss Arlene Packard and Frank Malasuk took place on Saturday, Oct. 6th, 1956 at 10:30 in the morning with Father Valentino performing the ceremony.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, chose a simple line floor length white gown of nylon lace bodice and sleeves, the skirt of gown was double layers of net and satin with lace insets to match the bodice. Her fingertip veil was secured in place with iridescent sequins and pearls tiara which also trimmed her dress neckline with sequins and pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of carnation centered with an orchid, which the bride later wore on her going away suit.
Mrs. Steven Krych of Chicago, sister of the groom, was the bride’s only attendant. She wore a coral nylon crystalette ballerina length gown, coral feather hat and shoes to match. She carried a puff bouquet of bronze mums with centered yellow rose buds and gold glitter buds.
Serving the groom as his best man was Robert Packard of New York, brother of the bride. The groom and best man wore the conventional suits with carnation boutonnieres.
The mother of the bride, Mrs. Alex Packard, chose a blue lace dress and blue hat to match while the groom’s mother, Mrs. Joe Malasuk, wore a blue and black eyelet net dress with black hat. The mothers were presented with orchid corsages.
Immediately after the ceremony refreshments were served with a dinner following at 12:30, served at Westward Ho for the immediate family and out of town guests.
The newlyweds left on a honeymoon immediately after dinner for a trip to the Lake of the Ozars. When returning they will reside in Milwaukee where both are employed at Hotpoint Industries.
Out of town relatives attending the wedding were Mrs. Joe Malasuk, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Malasuk and family, and Mrs. John Zajanckowski, all of Thorp, Judge and Mrs. Packard of Shawano, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Krych and family, Miss Pat Grezenia, all of Chicago, and Robert Packard of New York.
