Andrews, William C. (14 July 1869 - 26 October 1959)
William C. Andrews, 90, died suddenly Monday noon at the Clark County Home at Owen, where he had made his home for the last 14 years.
Mr. Andrews, the son of the late Stephen and Harriett (Campbell) Andrews, was born at Tunnel City on July 14, 1869, and came with his parents to Greenwood when a small child. He received his education in the grade school, worked in lumber camps, and was engaged in farming south of here.
Mr. Andrews never married. He was the last of nine children. They were George, Frank, McKinsey, Dudley, Mrs. Mame Robinson, Mrs. Anna Johnson, Mrs. Belle Burch and Mrs. Hattie Shanks, who died August 23, 1959.
Funeral services were held from the Hill Funeral home Friday afternoon. The Rev. Ethel Nulton, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Viv Carteron, Charles Hare, Elmer Staford, Frank Laken, Dave Twing and John Speich.
Mrs. Fred Hohl and JoAnn Peterson sang, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," and "In The Garden"; they were accompanied by Mary Syth.
