Sherwood Township (5 November 1959)
A son, Jeffery Russell, was born, to Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jacobson at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.
Mrs. George Florence, Sr., entertained the Community club recently.
Mr. and Mrs. George Florence, Sr., entertained the former’s niece and husband of California recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Booth and family of Chili spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Todd.
Mr. and Mrs. Riedel of Lynn visited Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Fields.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Schwanebeck and Jan spent the weekend at Randolph with relatives. Glenn planned to do some hunting.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Snedaker and family of Chicago spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Francis Jacobson. Guests Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gehres of Nekoosa, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Jacobson of Wisconsin Rapids, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Chase of York Center.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sparks and family, Mrs. Sophia Sparks of Wisconsin Rapids, and Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Lawson and son of Neillsville surprised Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lawson Saturday evening by bringing in a dinner in honor of their wedding anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Pederson have had as their house guest a sister-in-law from California.
Miss Helen Sparks was an overnight guest of Mrs. Francis Jacobson Thursday.
The Town Board met at Milden Schwanebeck’s Saturday evening.
Mrs. Rugna Freedlund of Rockford spent the weekend with the Harold Freedlunds. Mrs. Carlson visited her daughter, Mrs. Chester Freedlund. They both rode with Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Freedlund.
Mrs. Albert Knoll will be buried Monday in the Sherwood cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Knoll lived in Sherwood until a few years ago. They moved to Wisconsin Rapids. Mr. Knoll died a couple of years ago.
Miss Helen Sparks visited the Harold Freedlunds Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. LaVern Jacobson helped with the house work at Russell Jacobson’s a few days recently.
