Fremont Township (12 November 1959)
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schlinsog have received word of the birth of a daughter to their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Schlinsog of Janesville.
The Chili 4-H Club held their achievement program at the school Saturday evening. Fair checks, record books and special awards were given to members. Jon Butterbrodt gave a safety talk. Bobby Steffin and David Antrim presented a demonstration. Jackie Butterbrodt gave the speech that won for her first place in the county speaking contest. A Christmas party was planned for December 8.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dix and son of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. James Lee and son were Sunday guests at the Marion Lee home.
The WSWS and Ladies Aid of the Evangelical United Brethren Church held their monthly meeting in the church parlors Wednesday afternoon. Miss Anna Grimm was the devotional leader for the Thanks offering Service. Mrs. Roy Jennings, president, conducted the WSWS business meeting.
Members brought infants’ clothing to be made into layettes in observance of World Community day.
At the Ladies Aid meeting it was voted to order more vanilla for the society to sell.
Hostesses were Mrs. Raymond Payne and Mrs. William G. Lindow. Mrs. Alvin Gray was a guest.
The East Fremont P. T. A. met Monday evening in the school for the monthly meeting. Marlyn Lindow, president, conducted the business meeting. A card and fun party was planned for November 10.
Lawrence Behling showed pictures of Germany. A lunch was served by the Perry Hebert and Vernon Lindow families.
