Miss Helen Marie Pechacek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pechacek of Hastings, Minn., became the bride of Eugene F. Badzinski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis M. Badzinski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), in a 10:30 ceremony performed by Father P. J. Ryan at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church at Hastings on Saturday morning, Dec. 29th, 1956.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a white velvet floor length gown. It was fashioned with rounding scoop neck and three-quarter length sleeves, princess style. Her veil was fashioned with a crown of pearls and she carried a bouquet of stephanotis with white orchid center and a white prayer book.
Germaine Badzinski, the groom’s sister, of Thorp, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Natalie Vanderhoof of Clear Lake, Wis., Beverly Domoika of Rhinelander, Wis., and Ruth Hajeh of Hastings, Minn.
Louis M. Badzinski Jr., the groom’s brother, was best man, and groomsmen were Herbert Hahn, a friend of the groom, of Humbird, Wis., and Gerald Pechacek and Lyle Cater of Hastings, Minn., nephews of the bride. William Pechacek of Vermillion, Minn., and Walter Pechacek of St. Paul, brothers of the bride, served as ushers.
The bride’s attendants were attired in red velvet dresses, ballerina length with three-quarter length sleeves, princess style, scoop neck. They wore white velvet headbands with holly berries and crystalette and carried white muffs with poinsettia and stephanotis.
Three solos were sung by Mrs. John Stark and chimes were played during the wedding. For the occasion the church was decorated with poinsettias and ferns with satin bows of ribbon and poinsettias along the aisles.
Following the ceremony dinner and a reception were held at the Audrey Swedish Kitchen in Prescott, Wis., with 120 guests present. The dining room was decorated with poinsettias and evergreen for the occasion.
The bride attended the Guardian Angel Catholic School and High School at Hastings, and is a senior at River Falls, Wis., State College. The groom attended St. Bernard’s School, thorp High School and River Falls State College. He is now employed as Assistant Loan and Unit Manager of the Commerce Credit Corp. at St. Paul.
