Wetzel, Hazel (Marriage - 9 January 1960)

St. John’s Lutheran parsonage was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Hazel Wetzel of Neillsville and Clifford Roehl of Rt. 1, Neillsville.  Members of the immediate families witnessed the double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Norman Lindloff for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wetzel and the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Roehl.

For her wedding, the bride wore a street length dress of blue lace trimmed with white, and matching accessories.  A corsage of baby red roses was pinned to her shoulderline.

Miss Dorothy Tresemer was maid-of-honor. She was attired in a lavender dress styled like that of the bride.  Her corsage was made of yellow ‘mums.

Raymond Wetzel, brother of the bride, was bestman.

Following the ceremony a reception for approximately 130 guests was held in St. John’s Lutheran School.

The bride received her education at St. John’s School and the Neillsville High School and has been employed at the Neillsville Bank. The groom, engaged in farming, attended Oriole Hill School and Neillsville High School.

Mr. and Mrs. Roehl will reside on Rt. 1, Neillsville on the Roehl farm in the Town of York.
