S. L. VanEtten, state inspector of stories (stores) was in town yesterday.
H. J. Minard purchased the east two forties of R. A. Burss’ farm last week.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Peter McFarland on Monday last week.
Find C. S. Marks’ Dandruff Cure for sale at H. E. Howard’s Barber Shop, warranted.
Miss Callie Shafer, of Colby spent Saturday last with the COURIER family in this village.

Chas. Kuehl and Louis Arps started for Calumet County one day last week for a few days visit.
Mr. and Mrs. E. Moerke from Prentice were the guests of S. Gorman and family last week.
Jas. E. Pettet a former resident here came up from Sheboygan to attend the funeral of E. Lanphear.
Mr. and Mrs. John McGrogan spent Sunday last at Chippewa Falls, the guests of J. Leinenkugel and family.
Ed Sanders returned from Longwood last week and has again taken up his residence on his farm north of town.
The Loyal Tribune has been received. It is a bright and newsy sheet and will no doubt fill a long felt want.
The youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Eaton, of Eidsvold, died of diphtheria at that place on Monday evening.
A "25 lb." boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Sargent of Stanley on Tuesday. The weight is vouched for by Hi himself.
The weather has been quite warm the past four days, and loads are beginning to diminish in size owing to poor sleighing.
There will be a short entertainment by the S. S. Scholars, held at the Baptist Church, next Sunday evening. All are invited.
Mr. and Mrs. B. Bruno desire in this manner to thank all who assisted during the illness and at the burial of their daughter, May.
Three new Sturdevant hot air blowers have been started at J. W. Cirkel & Sons stave factory this week. They are used in the new dry kilns just completed.
The order of the state board of health regarding vaccination is receiving but little attention so far in this vicinity. This is entirely wrong. The school boards and teachers should interest themselves in this matter and see that the order is strictly enforced.
