Reineke, Lizzie #2 (17 MAY 1884 - 20 JAN 1957)

 

Lizzie Thoenes Reineke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thoenes was born May 17, 1884 at Woodland, Sauk Co., Wis.  On Dec. 16, 1903 she was united in marriage to Emil Reineke in Wonewoc, Wis., where they made their home.  12 children were born to this union.  In 1920 they moved to the Butler community (Clark Co., Wis.). where she has since resided.  Mrs. Reineke passed away Jan. 20, 1957, at the home of her daughter in Fairchild at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 2 days.

 

Surviving are 11 children: Harold, Arthur, Mildred (Mrs. Arthur Morrison), and Henrietta (Mrs. Chester Danielewicz), all of the Thorp area, Lester of Augusta, Roy with the U.S. Army in France, Luverne of Baltimore, Md., Ethel (Mrs. Arthur Baures) of Fairchild, Alvin of Eau Claire, Laura (Mrs. Duane Bowen of Dowagiac, Mich., and Dorothy (Mrs. Jack Hutson) of Seattle, Wash.  In addition she is survived by 37 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, 8 sisters: Mrs. Pauline Ripke of Sheldon, Mrs. Ed Formanach of Box Elder, Mont., Mrs. Ed Bezucha, Racine, Mrs. Ed Deutsch, Waupun, Mrs. Henry Moll, Cazenovia, Mrs. Elmer Fuller, Richland Center, Mrs. Jerry O’Niell, Madison, Mrs. Frank McDermott, So. Milwaukee; 4 brothers: William Thoenes, Waupun, Erwin, So. Milwaukee, Henry, Port Washington, Herbert, Richland Center, and many other relatives and friend.  Her husband, 1 daughter and 1 sister preceded her in death.

 

Funeral services were held at the Thorp Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 24th at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Charles Koch of Greenwood, with interment in Butler Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Ben Baures, Duane Reineke, Gary Reineke, Norman Danielewicz, William Reineke and Denver Will.

Milwaukee; Emma Bezucha, Racine; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Thoenes, Waupun; Edwin Thoenes, So. Milwaukee; Arnold Ripke, So.
