Oleksiewicz, Julia #2 (20 JUL 1869 - 12 JAN 1957)

 

Mrs. Julia Oleksiewicz, 88, of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) passed away at the Stanley hospital on Saturday, Jan. 12th, 1957 of old age infirmities.

 

Funeral services were conducted at St. Hedwig’s Church here Jan. 14th for the deceased, Father Francis Piekarski officiating at the requiem Mass assisted by Father Connie Chilicki and Father Eugene Knopka of Lublin.

 

Mrs. Oleksiewicz was born in Poland on July 20, 1869 and was married there in 1894 to Bazil Lisiecki.  To this union was born seven children.  She came to America with her husband and family in 1905.  Mr. Lisiecki passed away in 1914.

 

In 1920 she was united in marriage to John Oleksiewicz who preceded her in death in 1947.  They resided on a farm in the town Reseburg for many years, retiring from active operation in 1940.

 

She is survived by four sons, Joe Lisiecki, Henry Lisiecki and Alex Lisiecki of Milwaukee, and John Lisiecki of Thorp; three daughters, Phyllis, Mrs. Walter Zurakowski of Thorp, Caroline, Mrs. Vince Butrym of Milwaukee and Mary, Mrs. John Borowski of Hartland, Wis., 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

 

Interment took place in St. Hedwig’s New Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Felix Lato, Chas. Gutowski, George Posda, Victor Soborowicz, Frank Soborowicz and George Schmidt.

 

Person for out of town here to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lisiecki, Mrs. Caroline Butrym, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Lisiecki, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Schmidt and family, Stanley, Wisniewski, Joe Lisiecki, Mrs. Wanda Chudy, Mrs. Jeanette Dulek and daughter Judy, all of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. John Borowski of Hartland, Wis., Miss Phyllis Zurakowski of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kornesczuk of Gilman, and Mr. and Mrs. George Posda and son Walter of Stanley.
