Raine, Anna (16 February 1886 - 9 February 1960)
Funeral Services were conducted Friday from the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs. Everett (Anna) Raine, 73, Rt. 1, Neillsville, who died here February 9. The Rev. Virgil Holmes officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Raine, the former Anna Wegner, daughter of the late Frederick and Wilhelmina (Uaker) Wegner, was born February 16, 1886, in Pine Valley, and received her education there. After her schooling she was employed as a saleslady in the old Balch store and the Tragsdorf and Zimmerman "Big Store" prior to her marriage to Everett Raine on June 18, 1913. Following their marriage they purchased a farm just east of the city limits.
She is survived by her husband, and a son, Darrel, and eight grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Clara Raine and Mrs. Arthur (Helen) Haugen, and two brothers, Ben and Robert Wegner, all of Neillsville, also survive.
Pallbearers were: Emil Zank, Fred Wagner, J. A. Zimmerman, Walter Kren, Elmer Buddenhagen and Earl Pierce.
Vocalists, Mrs. Virgil Holmes and Herbert Feig, accompanied by Mrs. T. N. Thompson, sang, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Beyond the Sunset."
People from away here for the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Shedden, Clintonville; Mrs. Neil Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dux, Mr. and Mrs. Verlyn Dux and son, all of Loyal; George Raine, Lester Booth, and Mrs. Adelaide Lindsay, Cuba City; Donald Uren, Oregon, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Huckstead, Marshfield; Roy Webster, Platteville; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Terrell, Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Michael, Humbird; Mrs. James Hughes, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ziegler, Willard; and Mr. and Mrs. Gorden Thur, Fairchild.
