Pavlak, Apolonia #2 (9 FEB 1874 - 6 MAR 1957)

 

Last rites were held at the Thorp funeral Home on March 9, 1957 for Mrs. Apolonia Pavlak, 83, who passed away on March 6th at the home of her daughter.  Rev. Paliszewski of St. Mary’s Parish of Lublin officiated.

 

Mrs. Pavlak (Apolonia Kasprak) was born in Germany on Feb. 9, 1874.  She came to this country in 1890 and was married to Lawrence Pavlak at Chicago on Jan. 25, 1899, residing at Ciser (Cicero?), Ill., until 1914, from then on making her home at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

 

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jablonski (Frances) of Berwyn, Ill., and Mrs. Pletka (Helen) of Thorp, and two sons, Peter Pavlak of New York City, Henry Pavlak of Chicago, Ill., ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

 

She is to be remembered as a very kind and loving mother and grandmother, and a good friend and neighbor.

 

Burial took place at St. Mary’s Cemetery at Lublin with Ervin Sniegowski, Patrick Keating, John Quirk, Henry Jablonski, Robert Pavlak and Leonard Dombrowski serving as pallbearers.
