Czech, Patricia Ann (28 February 1933 - 10 November 2010)

Patricia A. Czech, age 77, of Bartlett, TN, formerly of Thorp, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at home with loving family by her side after a courageous fight with cancer.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp.  Rev. Keith Apfelbeck officiated and interment followed in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery in Thorp.  Visitation was held at the church, on Tuesday, from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.

Patricia Ann Fisher was born on February 28, 1933, in Marshfield, WI to Raleigh and Olive (Hablewitz) Fisher. She is a graduate of Thorp High School.  She married her high school sweetheart, Ray Czech.  They later moved from Thorp to Memphis, TN where they became Supercuts franchisees.

She was employed at Graceland and later became more involved with the management of the Supercuts operation.  Patricia was devoted to the business and the employees, considering them family.  Pat also did volunteer work with St. Jude, and the Ronald McDonald House.

Patricia was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s special events and other activities. She had an avid interest in travel with family and friends and loved life and her little dog, Buddy.  She was happy living in the Memphis area, enjoying a variety of activities with many special friends.

Patricia is survived by four children: Bonnie (Kevin) Mahoney of Winona, MN, William Czech of Ellijay, GA, Cynthia (Michael) Spell of Lakeland, TN, and Rob (Dana) Czech of Arlington, TN; six grandchildren who were her pride and joy; Erin (Garrett) Bohannan of Walnut Creek, CA, Patrick Mahoney of Lakeland, TN, Annie Mahoney of Tomahawk, WI, Jeremiah Czech of Ellijay, GA, and Megan and Brett Czech of Arlington, TN; her brother, Jim Fisher of Nekoosa, WI; her sister, Lois (Dan) Herman of Frederick, MD; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Allen Czech, and parents, Raleigh and Olive (Hablewitz) Fisher.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Jude, Ronald McDonald House or Erin Buchannan’s (granddaughter) elementary school, Delta View Elementary School in Pittsburgh, CA.
