Zoellick, Ronald E. (11 MAR 1937 - 19 NOV 2010)
DORCHESTER -- Ronald E. Zoellick, 73, of Dorchester, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Golden Living Center, Abbotsford.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, in Abbotsford, and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Inurnment will take place at Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Abbotsford, following the service. The Rev. Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker Sr. will officiate.
Ronald was born March 11, 1937, in Palatine, Ill., to Rudolph and Alma (Kruse) Zoellick. He was joined in marriage to his wife, Thelma, on Feb. 2, 1975, in Elgin, Ill.
He worked as a dairy farmer until his retirement in 2000.
Ronald was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting, tending to his garden, pitching horseshoes and shooting pool. Most of all, Ronald enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Thelma, his four sons, Rick Zoellick, Larry (Valerie) Zoellick, Raymond (Michelle) Zoellick, Mark (Terri) Zoellick; his three stepsons, Dale Sanders, Roger (Lynette) Sanders, and Tracy (Mary) Sanders. He is further survived by 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and his brother, Vernon (Janice) Zoellick.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Quinette, and his sister, Barbara.
