George & Nellie Durham
George F. Durham, 59, a former Humbird resident, died suddenly of a heart attack while visiting friends in Milwaukee March 5. He was born near Humbird, August 23, 1901. He had lived in this area most of his life. They moved to Sussex about four years ago from the Hoffman farm near Alma Center.
He is survived by his wife Nellie; four sons, Lloyd and Manley of Waukesha, Jerry and Peter at home; a daughter, Mrs. G. Smith of Pewaukee; two brothers, Alvin of Milwaukee, and Manly, Seattle, Wash.; five sisters, Mrs. Ruby McCoy of California, Maude of Washington State; Mrs. Jennie McKevitt, Mrs. Angie Gower and Mrs. Laura Baumgartner, all of Neillsville and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the Alma Center Methodist Church March 9, at 2 p.m., the Rev. Robert Isler officiating. Burial was made in the East Lawn Cemetery at Alma Center.
Among those who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Louie Fitzmaurice, Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Barr and Mr. and Mrs. Jennings.
