Sherman Township (24 March 1960)
The Veefkind Homemakers Club met Thursday evening in the home of Mrs. Robert Luchterhand. Mrs. Erwin Farnsworth conducted the business meeting. Songs appropriate to St. Patrick’s Day were sung. Mrs. Elmer Horn presented the project, "Understanding Our County, State and Federal Welfare Program." Mrs. Carl Ihlefeld gave the health topic, "Necessity for Adequate Sleep for Good Physical and Mental Health." A donation was made to the Red Cross. Mrs. Howard Schultz received the door prize. Mrs. Schultz will entertain at the April 21 meeting.
Luke Pescinski of Milwaukee spent the weekend with his nephew, Ralph Pescinski and family.
Mr. and Mrs. John Prust, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Prust and family, Mrs. Emil Masephol and family and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Beil and family were guests Sunday in the Raymond Schlinsog home. The Schlinsogs entertained for the confirmation of their daughter, Helene.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Prust and family attended a party in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Mueller Saturday evening for the second birthday of Tim Mueller.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schnabel, Wayne and Dale, were guests Sunday in the Herbert Schnabel home at Granton, for the confirmation dinner for Harlan Schnabel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schnabel.
Mr. and Mrs. Werner Doehr, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Doehr and family and Russel Lange were Sunday afternoon and supper guests in the Lucien Moh home at Granton for the fourth birthday of Sally Moh and the 10th birthday of Linda Moh, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Lucien Moh.
