Kinert, Joyce (Marriage - 30 April 1960)
Miss Joyce Kinert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Kinert of Hustisford and formerly of Humbird, and Merlin A. Mallow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alli Mallow of Ixonia, were married Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in St. Mark’s church at Ashippun. The Rev. O’Pagels officiated.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and chose for her wedding a gown of silk organza over taffeta, styled with a jeweled and appliquéd neckline, tapered sleeves and a chapel train. Her veil of silk illusion was attached to a matching crown. She carried baby roses with lilies of the valley.
Miss Sharon Mallow, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Miss Joan Evans of Ixonia and Miss Sharon Harris of Humbird were bridesmaids, and Mary Jo Jenks of Washington, Ill., was flower girl. All wore street length dresses of white silk organza over taffeta, with rose appliqués detailing the skirts and puffed sleeves. They carried red roses and white carnations.
The groom’s attendants were David Jaeger, Ashippun, and Phillip and Ruebe Mallow. Richard Ackatz was the ringbearer.
A reception and wedding dance were held at the Fireman’s hall in Ixonia.
After a wedding trip to Canada the couple will make their home in Ixonia.
