Apfel, Esther (? - 1960)

Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Apfel, 88, were held Wednesday afternoon from the Bergemann Funeral Home, with the Rev. Virgil Holmes, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial as made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Oscar Christopherson, Tony Hantke, Adolph Meyer, Guy Schultz, Fred Wall, and Louis Wiesner.  Two hymns were sung by Mrs. Virgil Homes and Herbert Feig, Jr., accompanied by Mrs. Jas. A. Musil.

The Women’s Relief Corps attended the service in a group.

Out of town relatives and friends attending included: Glenn Wright of Orfordville; Otis Gooch of Watertown; Mrs. Orrin Cook of Footville; R. H. Schroeder of Sparta; Mrs. Edna Grasshoff, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Apfel, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kuelz, Lindle Apfel, and Donald Kuelz, all of Evansville; Mr. and Mrs. George Wright of Milwaukee; Mrs. Oden Olson of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. F. Redmond of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Novak of Stevens Point, and Phillip Schultz of Hatfield.
