Merry Workers 4-H (Meeting - 1960)

The Merry Workers 4-H club held their meeting May 1 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schutte.  Jo Anne Schutte was hostess, and Darryl Schutte was host. The meeting was called to order by the president, Kathleen Neubecker.  The flag pledge and 4-H club pledge were said.  Roll was called.  The minutes of the previous meeting were read by the secretary, Grace Neubecker.  We had a discussion on Rural Life Sunday.  Our record books were checked.  We decided to have our next meeting combined with our club picnic.  We will have our picnic at Wildcat Mound, June 5.  Our club entered the drama contest.  The play we presented was entitled, "The Sewing Society."  Members who participated are as follows: Kathleen Neubecker, Grace Neubecker, Beverly Schoenherr, Louise Davis, LaVonne Bryan, Georgie Ann Vandeberg, David Sage, and Janet Mazola.   We received a second rating. - Richard Schoenherr and Daniel Neubecker, club reporters
