Humbird, Wisconsin (26 May 1960)
Mr. and Mrs. Hal Russell and daughters of Sparta called Sunday night at the Newton home.
Mrs. Fred Olson and baby, Lynne, are spending a few days at the Fred Olson, Sr. home, at Northfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Riggs and two daughters of Zion, Ill., spent the weekend with her sister, Mrs. Herman Gerber.
Mr. and Mrs. Percy Durost of Alexandria, VA., are visiting her sister, Mrs. Gordon Gearing and family; her mother, Mrs. Lydia Johnston of Fairchild; and other relatives in Black River Falls, Eau Claire and Fall Creek.
Mrs. Lambertson of Chicago is spending some time with her daughter, Mrs. Daniel Simonson.
Word received from Mrs. Martha Simons in Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, is that she is gaining and in good spirits. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hart saw her Friday.
Gordon Gearing is back from the hospital.
The Women’s guild of St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church will meet June 2, at 8 p.m. Mrs. Leona Krumholz and Mrs. Matie Smith will serve.
Rev. Ben Stucki of the Indian School in Neillsville will be the guest speaker at St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church Sunday.
