Kollmansberger, Maybelle J. (8 MAY 1926 - 28 NOV 2010)

UNITY -- Maybelle J. Kollmansberger, 84, of Unity was born into eternal life Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen. Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. The Rev. Rebekah Tarras will officiate. A time of visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Maybelle was born May 8, 1926, in Elgin, Ill., to Otto and Martha (Unruh) Briesch. She attended Pine Creek Country School in the town of Holway until eighth grade.

Maybelle was united in marriage to Ervin Kollmansberger on Jan. 12, 1946, at Saint John's Lutheran Church in Withee. She was a devoted housewife and worked hard on the family farm while Ervin drove truck.

Maybelle enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting and bowling. She was noted for her good cooking. Maybelle helped run a youth bowling league in Spencer for a number of years.

Maybelle is lovingly survived by her seven children, Sharon (James) Schiszik of Spencer, Ervin (Vicky) Kollmansberger Jr. of Dorchester, Patty Behrens of Marshfield, Dennis Kollmansberger of Menomonie, Arlyn (Kathy Pieper) Kollmansberger of Spencer, Kimberly Tate of Marshfield and Scott (Linda Weber) Kollmansberger of Marshfield; her grandchildren, Ryan (De Ann) Griepentrog, Tyler (Nicole) Kollmansberger, Eric (Tina) Kollmansberger, Jill Kollmansberger, Ian Kollmansberger, Hattie Kollmansberger, Joshua Tate, Lindsay Tate, Brittany Schalow, Megan Schalow and Melissa Schalow; her great-grandchildren, Dyllan Griepentrog, Danika Griepentrog, Jordan Schraufnagel, Hailey Kollmansberger, Ethan Kollmansberger, Maisyn Kollmansberger, Cierra Kollmansberger and Gabriel Kollmansberger; her step-grandsons, Mike (Heidi) Schiszik and Ryan (Gayle) Schiszik; and her step-great-grandchildren, Ellie, Dru, Joseph and Jason Schiszik.

She is further survived by brothers, Otto (Glenda) Briesch Jr. of Edmond, Okla., and Edgar (Donna) Briesch of San Leandro, Calif., and sister Harriet Blume of Kennewick, Wash.

Maybelle was preceded in death by grandchildren, Corey Griepentrog and Jodie Behrens; sisters, Doris Julson and Nadene Beauchamp; and brother Walter Briesch.
