It is said that the Town of Hixon will ask for division of its territory and form a new town, at the next meeting of the county board.

County School Superintendent Geo. E. Crothers held examinations for teachers here on Friday and Saturday last which was attended by forty.

The talk of building the Chicago and Lake Superior Air Line is again being revived.  The old Survey made in 1872 runs directly through the center of the village.
