Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Vanderhyden and Mrs. Bob Benzschawel and daughter Suzann attended commencement exercises at Our Lady of Sorrows High School at Ladysmith on Thursday. Ann Marie Vanderhyden, who attends the school there, returned with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Benzschawel, daughter Diane and sons Francis, Allen and Dennis, and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Benzschawel attended commencement exercises at Our Lady of Sorrows High School at Ladysmith, which were held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 30th. Joan Benzschawel, the former’s daughter, and Lois Reichert, who formerly lived at Thorp, were members of the graduating class.
Marlin Reichert and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Reichert of Milwaukee, and Kitty Kenney also attended the commencement exercises at Our Lady of Sorrows High School at Ladysmith, Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Karnopp, Lynn and Dennis attended graduation exercises at Concordia College at St. Paul on Friday, daughter Donelda being one of the graduates. She came home for a visit and will go back on Tuesday for a 2 month summer school session.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton Baldeschwiler, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Baldeschwiler and daughters, Lila, Ellen and Alfretta, and Mrs. Louis Henke spent Sunday at the Ray Baldeschwiler home in the town of Thorp on the occasion of the eighth grad graduation of the latter’s son, Gordon.
Susan Rusch went to Milwaukee on Saturday where she will attend Beauty Culture School.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Zimmerman and son Dale spent the weekend at Wausau with relatives. Cheryl Boruch returned with them to spend a week here at Thorp.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bogumill and family of Antigo visited at the Ed Bogumill home over the weekend.
Mrs. Herb Wiles and Mrs. Art Jacobson of Stanley visited here on Tuesday with Mrs. Charles Ramberg.
Mr. and Mrs. Chris Price and Mrs. Charles Ramberg attended the Silver Wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Herb Wiles at the Presbyterian Church at Stanley on Saturday evening.
Miss Carol Keskimaki left Saturday for Barrington, Ill., where she will be employed for the summer months.
