W. C. Tufts and wife returned from Ingram Monday.
Mrs. Benj. Packer returned Sunday from her Eau Claire visit.
Mr. Denney of Abbotsford made a business trip here Saturday.
Roy G. Taylor of your city dined at The Commercial Friday last.
Miss Lowe of Neillsville spent Monday here organizing a music class.
Mrs. Covey of Marshfield is enjoying the week with her daughter, Mrs. W. C. Tufts.
Mrs. P. E. Peterson gave a card party last week in honor of her husband’s birthday.
F. F. Frusher of Madison is here looking after the fellows who carry no life insurance.
Business is picking up; the merchants report a good trade and excellent prospect for future trade.
School is closed this week on account of a few cases of scarlet fever but we think it will reopen on Monday next.
W. C. Tufts went to Eau Claire Saturday evening to spend the Sunday with friends and accompany his wife upon her return home.
Dick Stocker went to Maplehurt last Thursday to work for the Squaw Creek Lumber Co. until you Greenwood people are ready for his labors again.
The Westergaard Bros. are buying lots and building new houses upon them this winter. The weather does not hinder such hustling business men.
Andrew Neilsen, who has made his home out in Oregon for the past two years, returned to his former home here in Withee last Thursday. This looks as if he and his family think Wisconsin ahead of that state.
Jas. Pritchard, who fell beneath the cars last Monday evening and lost both legs and one arm, is still alive but unconscious. The same thing happened to a young man at Boyd last week while stealing a ride.
