14 Mail Boxes (Bowled over - 1960)
Fourteen roadside mail boxes were knocked down along Highway 73, south of Neillsville, sometime Monday night or early Tuesday morning. They stretched over a distance from the Hilbert Naedler farm, a mile and one-half south of the city, to the Eugene Ehlers farm, eight miles south. Officer Harry Frantz said the driver of the car carefully avoided mailboxes set in milk cans, apparently because of the danger of a milk can getting caught underneath the car and damaging it.
