Westphal, Marvin (Injured in Nebraska - 1960)
Marvin W. Westphal, 42, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Westphal of Neillsville, was seriously injured Wednesday when the motor car on which he was riding left the railroad track. He is said to have sustained a broken hip and severe head lacerations and is now a patient at Lutheran Community Hospital, Norfolk, Nebr., where friends may write to him.
Neillsville relatives, reporting the accident to The Press, report that Marvin may be hospitalized from three to four months. He left Neillsville a year ago after being employed with the Northwestern Railroad with headquarters at Eau Claire, to accept the position of roadmaster of the Northwestern Railroad at Norfolk, Nebr. The accident occurred while he was riding his motor car on track inspection duty.
He and his wife and son, Monte, reside in Norfolk. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hubing of Neillsville. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Westphal are now on a three-week vacation trip and are visiting their son and daughter-in-law (words missing on the end).
