S. A. Adams is visiting in Sheboygan county.

M. W. Lawrence is home from camp at Park Falls.

Carl Retta lost a fine cow last Tuesday morning.

Julius Viogt put up a supply of ice the past week.

Ed Davis went to Loyal Friday to work in the barber shop.

Mrs. George Smith is visiting her daughter, Mrs. C. H. Youngs.

Mildred Thorson closed school in district No. 3 last Friday for a two weeks vacation.

Cora Welsh and Meda Garvin of Loyal visited with relatives in York the past week.

Mrs. Maxon, who recently bought the C. H. Benedict farm, has rented it to Lee Smith.

B. E. Dean left Thursday for Clinton, where he will begin work for his uncle about April 1.

Byrl Winn had the good fortune to capture an old fox the other day with nine young ones.

Mrs. Belle McKenzie closed school in district No. 2 last Friday with an entertainment in the afternoon.

A small party was given Wednesday evening in honor of Bert Dean at the home of Mrs. E. M. Lawrence.

Walt Sutherland had an auction sale last Friday. We haven’t learned what his intentions are for the future.

Mrs. Butler of Beaver Dam, who has been visiting her daughter Mrs. Anna Tucker, returned to her home Monday.

Wm. Lawrence went to Granton Monday to have his eyes treated. He had the misfortune to get some saw filings in them.

A number of York farmers were busy the past week scattering telephone poles for the farmers telephone line which will be erected this spring.

Maude Alger closed school in district No. 1, last Friday. She leaves tomorrow for her home at Oshkosh. Ollie Youngs will accompany her.

Mrs. August Breed’s house on the town line of York and Grant, was totally destroyed by fire last Wednesday. Nearly all the goods were saved, but it was quite a loss to Mrs. Breed as there was no insurance on the house or the contents. The fire is supposed to have started from sparks from the chimney.
