Hemlock, Wisconsin

 

Louisa Siebolt spent Sunday at home.

 

Sadie Anderson is working for Mrs. Sam Smith.

 

T. O. Withee returned from La Crosse Monday.

 

Charles Varney has been under the weather the past week.

 

Mr. Haglund went to Chicago last week to work in a tailor shop.

 

John Arnold of Longwood called on his brothers at Hemlock Sunday.

 

Mrs. Oxford and Mrs. Chas. Varney called on Mrs. Sam Smith Saturday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Foust and Mr. and Mrs. Pratt visited at Daugherty’s Sunday.

 

F. W. Anderson and Maggie Thompson visited Mrs. K. Anderson Sunday.

 

Mr. Derby has been drilling the well for the new creamery on Warner’s corners.

 

Mrs. Van Alstine and Lola visited her sister, Mrs. Benjamin of the West Side Wednesday.

 

Mrs. Haglund went to Greenwood Monday to see her daughter, Mrs. Behrens who is still very sick.

 

A caucus will be held Saturday, March 24th at 2 p. m. in the town hall at Hemlock for the purpose of nominating candidates for the several town officers.

 

A crowd of young people gathered at Limprecht’s Saturday evening to remind John Cramer that he was sweet sixteen. A bounteous repast was served at midnight - all report a pleasant time.

 

The infant daughter of Mr. and Mr. Otto Wetzel was christened at the German church Sunday, after which a number of their German friends gathered at their home to help celebrate the event. The little lady bears the name . . .  (Sorry, end of photocopy).
