Fijalkiewicz, Mrs. Ambrose (8 DEC 1878 - JUL 1957)

 

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Church at Junction, Monday morning for Mrs. Fijalkiewicz, 78.  The Rev. Edward Sobczyk officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.

 

Mrs. Fijalkiewicz was a resident of the town of Thorp in Clark County, Wis., and was born in Poland on Dec. 8, 1878.  She moved to Chicago at the age of 19.  She married Ambrose Fijalkiewicz in Scranton, Pa. in 1892 and moved to the Junction community 46 years ago where they farmed.  She had spent the last five months visiting with her daughters in Chicago.

 

She is survived by her husband, three sons, Joseph of Minneapolis, John of Stanley, and Stanley of Conrad; six daughters, Mrs. John Leaa of Stanley, Mrs. Phillip Cavanaugh, Mrs. John Carsley, Mrs. Herbert Raussman, Mrs. John Glazowski and Mrs. Arthur Tinerman, all of Chicago; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

 

She was a member of St. Mary’s Church at Junction, St. Mry’s Rosary Society and the Polish Nation Alliance, 617.
