Grambsch, Mr. and Mrs. Ben (Golden - 18 June 1960)
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Grambsch of Loyal celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary Saturday, with a family dinner for 24 at noon and open house in the Methodist Church dining room from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
Those present for the dinner included four sisters of Mr. Grambsch, who had not been together for 49 years, the four children of Mr. and Mrs. Grambsch, with their families. Three grandchildren sang, "Silver Threads Among the Gold."
The wedding cake was a replica of a large Bible with Psalm 23:1 inscribed on it. Two grandchildren helped open the gifts, Barbara Grambsch, wearing the wedding dress of her grandmother and Terry Grambsch wearing the wedding trousers of his grandfather. Carnations were worn by the honored couple.
Among the decorations was a yellow vase with 50 yellow roses, given by Mrs. Mary Mauer of El Monte, Calif., sister of Mrs. Grambsch.
Lucy M. Fortnum and Ben Grambsch were married in the Methodist parsonage, in Ripon, June 18, 1910, by the Rev. Charles (missing surname)
