Riverside (23 June 1960)
Manford Cain injured his left hand while at work at the Ploman saw mill at Riplinger Friday. His hand came in contact with a chain saw, which cut the tendons on the back of his hand. He was taken to the Colby clinic. Several stitches were taken and his hand was put in a cast until it heals.
Sharon, Billy and Steve Mathis of Kaukauna are spending three weeks with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Prust and other relatives, while their parents are on a trip to the west coast. All were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Gladys Drescher.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Portz presented their daughter, Linda Sue, for baptism Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church at Granton, with Rev. Lawrence Schreiber performing the ceremony. Sponsors were Mrs. Raymond Mundt and James Steinbach. Dinner guests in the Portz home following the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Steinbach and James and Peggy Schlinsog of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mundt of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jensen, (Missing portion).
