Stutte, Mr. and Mrs. Fred A. (61st - 13 June 1960)
Mr. and Mrs. Fred A. Stutte observed their 61st wedding anniversary in Loyal June 14. They were married at Cashton, June 13, 1899, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Following their marriage they operated a farm at Summit Ridge, until 1909, when they moved to Clark County, locating south of Loyal on the former Esselman farm. In 1937, they retired.
Mrs. Stutte was born in Cashton January 3, 1873, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Degenhardt. Mr. Stutte was born near Eagle March 15, 1868, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Stutte.
They have four children, Mrs. Ben (Clara) Clouse, Mrs. Alex (Hilda) Loos and Hugo F. Stutte of Loyal, and Laura M. Stutte of Chicago. They also have eight grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Stutte are enjoying good health and love to work about the yard and garden. They are still living alone, but their daughters; Clara and Hilda, drop in to assist with laundry and housecleaning.
