Miss Harriet Weyhmiller, daughter of Otto J. Weyhmiller of Loyal, and Keith N. Krier, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Krier of Minneapolis, were united in marriage at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Minneapolis at 9 o’clock Saturday morning, July 2. The Rev. Fr. Joseph M. Kasel performed the ceremony and read the nuptial mass.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length gown of sheer white net, featuring a full skirt. Its fitted bodice was softened by short capped sleeves and a Bertha collar of eyelet embroidery. The fingertip veil of lace and illusion was caught on a tiara of matching embroidery. She wore net gauntlets, and her bouquet of Johanna Hill roses and stephanotis. With it she carried a pearl rosary. Her necklace of rhinestones and filigree gold heart shaped pendants, which fitted the high neckline of her gown, together  with matching earrings, gift from the groom. Her attendant was Mrs. Winifred Flad of Madison (the former Winifred Richardson of Loyal), who wore a pale blue net dress, with matching picture hat. Her bouquet was of yellow roses and blue delphinium.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Adrian W. Krier. Ushers were Kenneth Weyhmiller of Loyal, brother of the bride, Walter E. Sullivan of Minneapolis, brother-in- law of the groom.

The groom’s mother wore a pink dress of sheer print with white accessories. Her corsage was of pink rosebuds and white carnations.

The wedding breakfast for 24 guests was served in the Mirror room of the Curtis hotel in Minneapolis. A reception for 125 guests was held in the afternoon at the country home of the groom’s parents. Featuring refreshment table was a four-tiered, elaborately decorated wedding cake made especially for the bride by a family friend. Presiding at the table during the afternoon were Mrs. William Loch of Watkins, Minn., cousin of the bride, Mrs. W. E. Sullivan, sister of the groom, and Miss Jean Erlandson of River Falls.

Guests from distant points included Mr. and Mrs. William Loch and son, William Jr., of Watkins, Miss Jean Erlandson of River Falls, Misses Helen and Margaret Kurtenacker of Alton, Ia., Mrs. Mary Truax of Rochester, Minn., and Mr. and mrs. F. M. Even of Sioux Falls, S. D.

On Tuesday evening, June 28, Mrs. Krier and Mrs. Sullivan honored the bride-to-be at a miscellaneous shower at the former’s home. Thirty guests were present.

The bride graduated from the Loyal high school with the class of 1940 and attended the La Crosse State Teachers college. She has been employed in Minneapolis. The groom, after seeing service in the European theater as an officer with an air-borne infantry division, returned to the University of Minnesota in the fall of 1946 and was graduated with a degree in Mechanical engineering in June, 1948. At the present, he is employed as an engineer with the G. H. Tennant Co. in Minneapolis.

The couple spent their honeymoon in northern Minnesota and will reside in Minneapolis upon their return.
