Goetz, Arlene (09 JULY 1949)
William Knox of Marshfield claimed Miss Arlene Goetz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Romie Goetz of route two, as his bride on Saturday morning, July 9, at St. Anthony’s Catholic church here. The Rev. Fr. Aloys Zinthefer officiated.
Miss Francis Dacyzk of Stevens Point was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Shirley Bannesch of Chicago, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Alex Knox of Marshfield, sister-in-law of the groom.
The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown, featuring a lace hoop skirt and train. Her veil was attached to a crown of seed pearls. Lime green and lavender taffeta were worn by the bridal aides. They carried white carnations and pink roses.
William Sackett of Marshfield was best man, and Kenneth Goetz and Alex Knox were groomsmen. Duane Schmidt, cousin of the bride, and John Leinwander of Marshfield were the ushers.
A breakfast for the bridal party was served at the John Goetz home, and dinner and supper were served at the home of the bride’s parents.
Both young people were employed at Evanston, Ill. They are now living at 442 South Central avenue, Marshfield. The groom attended Marshfield high school, while the bride attended school here.
Guests from Marshfield, Oshkosh, Loyal, Ladysmith, Waukesha, Neillsville, Milwaukee, Waterford, Chicago, Auburndale and Evanston, Ill., attended the wedding.
To the newlyweds, the Loyal Tribune extends best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
