Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart attended a reunion of the Hagen-Thompson family Sunday at Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls.
The Women’s Society of Christian service held its annual picnic Friday afternoon on the lawn at Grace Methodist Church. At the short business meeting a bake sale was planned for July 22, at the Hill Furniture Store, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The committee in charge includes Mrs. Arleigh Syth, Mrs. Elery Moberg, and Mrs. Walter Swieso. Following the business session a pot luck lunch was served. The next meeting will be held July 15, with Mrs. Arleigh Syth, Mrs. Mary Clendenning and Mrs. Fred Hohl as hostesses. Mrs. Myron Kenyon will present the program.
The Happy Hustler Homemakers met Tuesday evening at the John Kaltinger, Jr. home for their "outdoor" cookery supper. The lesson was conducted by Mrs. Harlan Brux and Mrs. John Kaltinger, Jr., project leaders. The tour, sponsored by the group, which took them to Red Wing, Minn. recently, was reported on and a discussion followed on plans for another year. Mrs. Eugene Carteron gave a report on birthday cakes baked by members for the people at the Home for the Aged who had birthdays in June. The group will have a recess until September, when they will meet at the home of Miss Louise Keiner.
Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Gotz of Pittsville, Betty Corbin of Milwaukee and Carol Severson were Tuesday evening supper guests at the home of Mrs. Christ Keiner, mother of Mrs. Gotz. The group also visited at the Hugh Severson home. Betty Corbin remained for a two-week visit with her great-grandmother, Mrs. Keiner.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Soule and four children of Smith River, Calif., who are visiting relatives in Wisconsin, spent Wednesday and Thursday her with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Kenyon.
Mrs. Bernard (June) Ferguson of Chattanooga, Tenn. is spending several weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bredesen, and other relatives. She will be joined later by her husband.
