Gereau, Bernice L. "Bea" (18 APR 1926 - 9 DEC 2010)

WITHEE -- Bernice L. "Bea" Gereau, 84, of Withee died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.

Bea was born April 18, 1926, in Stratford to Bernard and Bertha (Hoefs) Custer. Bernice was united in marriage to Floyd Gereau on June 12, 1945, in Marshfield. After her marriage, she worked at the Weinbrenner Shoe Co. in Marshfield until 1951, then moved to the town of Maplehurst, rural Withee. She also wrote articles for the Owen Enterprise newspaper.

Survivors include her children, Jennie Gereau of Neillsville, James (Becky) Gereau of Evansville, Phillip Gereau of Maplehurst and Paul (Tonia) Gereau of Lublin; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; a brother; Harold (Imogene) Custer of Stratford; and a sister, Doris Telschow of Wausau.

Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, in March 1998.
