Geiger, Ellen Louise (Marriage - 26 July 1960)
Walter Aumann, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Aumann, Sr., of Neillsville, and Ellen Louise Geiger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence J. Geiger of Manitowoc, were married July 26, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. D. L. Krembs officiated.
Mrs. Anton Langreck, the groom’s sister, served as matron of honor and the bridesmaid was Sharon Worthington of Manitowoc. Anton Langreck was best man; Charles Aumann, the groom’s brother, was groomsman. Paul Demuth and John Geiger were ushers.
The bride chose a floor-length gown with short sleeves, an embroidered Sabrina neckline and skirt of shiffli embroidered tulle. She wore the gloves her mother wore at her wedding and carried Amazon lilies, stephanotis and ivy. Her shoulder length nylon tulle veil was attached to a crown of seed pearls and sequins.
The bride’s attendants wore pink dotted nylon dresses with full skirts of pink satin trim. They carried baskets of pink carnations and white daisies. Matching picture hats completed the ensemble.
Following the service a dinner was served to relatives and immediate friends, and was followed by a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents.
Following a short honeymoon the newlyweds will reside at 5066 S. Packard Ave. Cudahy.
The bride is a graduate of Lincoln High School of Manitowoc and San Antonio College, Tex., where she received an associate of arts degree. She was affiliated with Pi Gamma Phi Sorority.
The groom is a graduate of Neillsville High School and the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. The new Mrs. Aumann is a secretary for Ladish Co., Cudahy, where the groom is an accountant.
Attending the wedding from Neillsville were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Aumann, and Charles, Mrs. Mary Aumann, Mrs. Ferdinand Hrach, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Langreck and Deon Larsen. Mrs. Tillie Knilans of Delavan also accompanied the Aumann’s to the wedding. Mrs. Knilans is a sister of Mrs. Hrach.
