Timmler, Jana Marie (Marriage - 30 July 1960)
Jana Marie Timmler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Timmler of Route 2, Loyal, and Lawrence E. Shortess, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shortess of Spencer, were married Saturday afternoon at the Loyal Methodist Church, with the Rev. Paul Doering in charge of the double ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of silk organza with lace insets. She had a fingertip veil. Her bouquet was of red roses and white carnations.
Miss Geraldine Grey of Loyal was the maid of honor, and Miss Lou Ann Doehr was the bridesmaid. Edith Timmler was a junior bridesmaid.
The groom chose Dale Timmler of West Bend as his bestman, and Edward Wolff of Neenah as groomsman. Ushers were Irving Timmler and Richard Shortess.
The ring bearer was Terry Schaub and the flower girl was Sherry Kapfer. Ida Foelske sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "Because". She was accompanied by Mrs. Byron Zepplin.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for about 200 guests. The home was decorated with garden flowers.
The young couple will honeymoon on Mackinac Island and in Canada. After August 7 they will make their home in Marshfield, where the groom is employed as a bookkeeper.
Guests from out of town were from Greenwood; Neenah, Eau Claire, Spencer, Marshfield, Racine, Colby, Neillsville,, West Bend, Milwaukee, Cedarburg, Kewaskum, Germantown, Platteville, Granton, Rockford, Ill., and Chelsea, Mass.
