Meyer, Herman W. (19 February 1885 - July 1960)
Funeral services for Herman W. Meyer, 75, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville, with the Rev. Jacob Grether officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr. Meyer was born February 19, 1885, in Sheboygan County. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyer. In 1885, he and his parents came to Clark County, where he received his education. He worked as a carpenter and later operated a mink ranch. He was a member of Company "A" Wisconsin National Guard.
Mr. Meyer is survived by three brothers: Adolph and Art of Neillsville, and Ed of Marshfield.
Pallbearers were: Ray Kutsche, Arnold Drescher, Henry Dahnert, Rudolph Frantz, Elmer Buddenhagen and Leonard Drescher.
Accompanied by Mrs. Jacob Grether, Ellis Wall sang two hymns, "In The Garden" and "O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go."
People from out of town attending were Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Meyer, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. James Meyer and family, Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Budde, all of Marshfield; Edwin Meyer, Jr., and Donald Drescher of Greenwood.
