Granton, Wisconsin (11 August 1960)
Leila Dopp of Marshfield, who has been vacationing in Granton and Neillsville for a week, returned home Monday morning.
The Granton Happy Homemakers club will meet this (Thursday) afternoon at the Ray Hoeft home.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dahling of Chicago, Ill., came for the Tyler-Seehafer wedding. Mrs. Elsie Gerhardt and Mrs. alter Dahling are staying at Mrs. Emma Nowack’s.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Barth and son, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Riedel and family, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dahling, Mrs. Elsie Gerhardt, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dahling and Mrs. Emma Nowack were dinner guests at the Ray Nowack home.
Mrs. Edith Haske and daughter and her mother, Mrs. Simpson, have returned from a vacation trip.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hansen spent the weekend in Livingstone, at the David Buchanan home.
Rev. and Mrs. Robert Witte and family of Cambridge, Minn., visited at the E. L. Witte home. They arrived Sunday and left Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Boss and their two daughters of Coogan, Ia., spent Sunday at the E. L. Witte home.
Mrs. Altha Mabie has been visiting with Mrs. Eva Davis.
Mrs. Iva Carmody of Ohio has been visiting relatives in
Granton.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton Schmidtke, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Madler and children and Mrs. Paul Schmidtke of Loyal drove to Lidgerwood, N. D. Saturday. The Madlers will remain there to visit with a brother of Mrs. Madler, Henry Schmidtke.
Sherry Lavey and Sharon Steiner underwent tonsillectomies at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville last Thursday, and came home on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Verne St. John of Torrance, Calif., have been spending a week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank St. John of Granton.
Mr. and Mrs. Harlow Huskins of Cudahy spent an afternoon at Mr. and Mrs. Frank St. John’s. They were neighbors while living in Milwaukee.
Mrs. Elsie Pommering of Milwaukee is spending a month with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lenard St. John of Granton.
