Tieman, Earl L. (5 OCT 1903 - 21 AUG 1957)
Earl L. Tieman Sr., a resident of Stanley and a former resident of the town of Butler (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away Wednesday at Victory Hospital in Stanley.
Mr. Tieman was born Oct. 5, 1903, in Beloit, the son of Chas. and Nellie Tieman. He moved to the town of Butler with his parents at the age of eight years. His marriage to Pearl Paradis took place in Waukegan, Ill. in 1926. They farmed near Thorp until 1945, when they moved to Stanley where Mr. Tieman owned the White Eagle Tavern. In 1947 they went to the town of Worden and resided on a farm until 1956. Since that time he had lived in Beloit, Greenwood and Stanley.
Surviving are his wife of Milwaukee; his parents of Beloit, six sons, Earl Jr. of Stanley; Loren, Spokane, Wash.; Kenneth, Jack and Russell, all of Milwaukee; Dale with the U.S. Air Force in Greenland; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Mona) Cunningham, and Maxine, both of Milwaukee; three brothers, Charles J. of Thorp; Donald of Greenwood, and Glen of Owen; one sister, Mrs. Donald (Elsie) Ingham of Beloit, and ten grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Epiphany Lutheran Church in Stanley with Rev. R. W. Olson officiating. Interment took place in the Oakland Cemetery.
