Anthony, Betty M. (2 SEP 1957)
Miss Betty Marie Anthony, the daughter of Mrs. Jack M. Anthony of Stanley, and the late Mr. Anthony, and Leonard Ronald Cesafsky, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Cesafsky, Rt. 3, Stanley, repeated their marriage vows before the rev. Edmund Cramer at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 2, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Stanley. Bouquets of pink mixed flowers decorated the altar for the double ring ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Louis Yeager, chose a gown of white lace and net over taffeta fashioned chapel length with a fitted lace bodice, V neckline and long tapering sleeves. The bouffant skirt was detailed in lace handkerchief points over the net ruffled skirt. A pearl and sequin tiara held the imported silk illusion veil, and she carried a cascade bouquet of pink and white roses.
Miss Joan Anthony, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a ballerina length pink orchid gown with a matching hat and jacket. The dress was embroidered nylon over taffeta. Loretta Sorenson, Rt. 3, Stanley, a friend of the bride, was bridesmaid, in a light blue ballerina length gown styled like the maid of honor’s. They carried colonial bouquets of pink carnations.
Walter Wortoloc, cousin of the groom, was best man. Emmett Kyle and Donald Zais, friends, ushered.
The bride’s mother witnessed her daughters marriage wearing a light blue two piece dress, white accessories and a corsage of yellow and white roses. Mrs. Cesafsky wore a blue dress and white accessories with a corsage of red roses.
A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s mother for the bridal party. Two hundred fifty guests were present at the reception held at the Stanley auditorium in the afternoon.
They will reside at 350 Second Ave., Stanley.
The groom graduated from Stanley High School and the bride also attended Stanley High School.
A pre-nuptial shower was given at St. Anne’s by Mrs. Irvin Van Den Heuvel and Mrs. Leslie Van Domelsen.
