Maziarka, Lillian (7 SEP 1957)

 

In a double ring ceremony Lillian Maziarka, daughter of Mrs. Anthony Maziarka of Lublin, Wis., became the bride of Henry Vitek, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Vitek Sr. of Buchanon, Mich.  The ceremony was performed in St. Gerald’s Catholic Church in Oak Lawn, Ill. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 1957 by the Rev. E. J. O’Brien.  Mrs. C. Olejniczak, accompanied by the organist, sang "Ave Maria" and "On This Day Oh Beautiful Mother."

 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother Joseph, chose a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over satin, styled with long sleeves, fitted bodice with a sweetheart neckline and a hoop skirt flowering into a three tiered chapel train, her fingertip veil of illusion fell from a crown of seed pearls and sequins.  She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses and lilies of the valley.  Completing her sensible she wore pearl earrings, a gift of the groom.

 

Miss Estelle Wargolet, Milwaukee, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, bridesmaids were Miss Mildred Vitek, Buchanon, Mich., the groom’s sister, and Miss Maureen Burke, Chicago, niece of the bride.  Nancy Lynn Mis, niece of the bride was junior bridesmaid.  All were dressed identical wearing crystalette waltz length gowns in two tone blue and matching picture hats.  They carried colonial bouquets of pink carnations.  Completing their ensembles they wore pearls and earrings, a gift from the bride.

 

Jerry Vitek, Buchanon, Mich., brother of the groom, was best man.  Robert Maziarka, Chicago, nephew of the bride, and George Genetzke, St. Joseph, Mich., friend of the groom were groomsmen-ushers.

 

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the F. J. Miss home in Oaklawn, Ill., with guests out of town attending from Buchanon, Three Oaks, St. Joseph and New Toy, Mich., Chicago, Ill. and Milwaukee, Wis.

 

The bride attended Thorp High School and for the past two years has been employed by Harris Mfg. Co.  The groom attended Buchanon High School, served two years in the army, and is now employed by Mich. Wis. Pipeline Co.

 

The young couple will live in St. Joseph, Mich., following a honeymoon to Niagara Falls.
