Bredlau, Norma (Marriage - 20 August 1960)
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville was the scene of the wedding Saturday of Miss Norma Bredlau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Bredlau of Rt. 1, Neillsville, and Alvin Lezotte, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lezotte, also of Rt. 1. The Rev. Joseph Eisenmann performed the double ring ceremony.
Given in Marriage by her father, the bride approached the altar in a floor length gown of imported Alencon lace and tulle over satin. The lace fitted bodice had a dropped waistline and buttoned down the back. It had a Sabrina neckline trimmed with sequins and pearls. The long, fitted sleeves buttoned at the wrist. The bouffant skirt had lace panels extending from the sides of the bodice to the floor with lace appliqués trimmed with iridescent sequins and pearls. Her queen’s crown trimmed with pearls and sequins, held a veil of bridal illusion. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.
Attending as matron of honor was Mrs. Leroy Lezotte, Bridesmaids, were Paulette Lezotte and Marian Bredlau. They all wore ballerina length white gowns. The matron of honor wore coral colored, and the bridesmaids wore turquoise colored cummerbunds. Their headpieces matched the color of the cummerbunds. They carried fan-shaped bouquets of roses and carnations.
The groom chose as his bestman, Leroy Lezotte. Groomsmen were Alfred Bredlau and Douglas Lezotte. Ushers were Lamoine Anason and Norbert Hoeser.
A reception was held at 2 p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents for about 300 guests. The home was decorated with flowers.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Neillsville Schools. The bride is employed as a salesclerk, and the groom is employed at Short’s Fur Farm. The couple is making their home in Neillsville.
Out of town guests came from Minnesota, Milwaukee, Jackson, and Fort Peru, Ill.
