Timmler, Clara (5 December 1874 - 6 September 1960)

Mrs. Clara Timmler, 85, long-time resident of the Town of Pine Valley, died here Monday after a month’s illness.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Jacob Grether officiating.  Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Timmler was born December 5, 1874, in Sheboygan County.  She was the daughter of the late Albert and Alma (Cruhle) Dettmann.

In 1894 she was married to Henry Clemmons, a blacksmith, who died in 1896.  In 1902 she was married to Edwin Timmler there.  They came to Clark County, locating on a farm near the mound, north of Neillsville.  This farm had been her home since 1902.

She is survived by three children: Mrs. Clarion (Henrietta Clemmons) Counsell, Neillsville; Fred Timmler, Greenwood; and Edwin Timmler, Loyal. The following sisters and brothers also survive as do nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren: Hattie Heiman, Lake Mills; Agnes Hartmann, Newport, Wash.; Emil Dettmann, Kewaskum; William Dettmann, Random Lake; Arthur Dettmann, Bonduel; and Albert Dettmann, Fredonia.

Funeral arrangements are being made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

Services for Mrs. Clara Timmler, 85, Rt. 3, Neillsville, were conducted Friday afternoon from the United Church, with the Rev. Jacob Grether officiating.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Earl Pierce, Lebrecht Kalsow, Gust Carl, Fred Stelloh, Ole S. Aspen and Fred Appleyard.

"Softly and Tenderly," and "The Old Rugged Cross" were sung by Ellis Wall, accompanied by Mrs. Jack Grether.
